Special Education Teacher Accused Of Sexual Acts With Students

Summer Michelle Hansen, 31, a special education teacher, is charged with 16 felony counts and faces up to 13 years in prison if convicted. Hansen was charged with having sex with five students and sending sexual text messages and nude photographs of herself. Hansen is suspected of having sexual intercourse and oral sex with the five boys on campus grounds and at one of the victim's homes.

Centennial's principal first reported the case to the police on June 16, according to a search warrant affidavit. The document contained details from interviews with one of the victims, who was 17 at the time of the alleged crimes. The student told detectives that Hansen had exchanged sexual test messages with him, some attached to revealing and nude photographs. The teacher told him that she wanted to give him a "prize" for doing well in a baseball game, the document said.

All five victims were students at Centennial High School but none of them were Hansen's students. After the allegations surfaced, the school district placed Hansen on administrative leave and the Centennial principal reported the case to police.
