Taye Diggs Detains Burglar by His Studio City Home

"Private Practice" star, Taye Diggs, allegedly chased and detained a burglar who was rummaging through his garage. When Diggs discovered the man in his garage, the man immediately fled, at which point Diggs went after him and held him until police arrived.

Officers arrested the suspect and booked him on suspicion of burglary. Under California law, burglary can be charged as a misdemeanor or a felony. Residential burglary is always charged as a felony, so if convicted, the suspect could be facing two to six years in the California State Prison and a maximum fine of $10,000.00.
