Criminal Defense Attorney Robert Bernstein explains California's Three Strikes Law.

Under California criminal law we have we have what is known as the 3 strike law. Any serious violent crime may count as a strike on your criminal record. If you have been convicted of a crime and have a strike on your record and subsequent criminal conviction will have double penalties. If you already have two prior strikes on your record any third felony of any nature can be punishable up to life in prison.

It is very important that you deal with and retain the services of an experienced criminal attorney to avoid ever having a strike conviction on your record, if that's necessary, or if you already have a strike conviction. There are legal methods and strategies we can use to have that strike thrown out and not to enhance the future penalties. So if you have any questions about the 3 strike law contact my offices for a free consultation.
