'Suge' Knight Arrested For Murder Related To Fatal Hit-And-Run

Posted By Law Offices of Robert M. Bernstein || 5-Feb-2015

Marion ‘Suge’ Knight, 49, founder of Death Row Records, faces multiple felony charges for running over two men in his vehicle and fleeing the scene of the crime. An argument occurred between two men, Terry Carter, 55, and Cle “Bone” Sloan, 51, and Knight at a film shoot for a promotional video for “Straight out of Compton”. Knight was ordered to leave the video shoot but the argument resumed about 20 minutes later, three miles away from the shoot in a parking lot at Tam’s Burgers.

The argument escalated and Sloan exchanged punches with Knight through the open window of Knight’s pickup truck. Knight drove his truck backward, killing Carter and injuring Sloan while accelerating forward. Knight then fled the scene and his truck was later found in a Westwood parking lot.

Knight is charged with murder, attempted murder, hit and run resulting in death, and hit and run resulting in injury and is being held without bail. If convicted, Knight could face up to life in prison.
