Sergio Mendoza, 25, was arrested for kidnapping, threat and domestic battery
after punching his girlfriend several times and preventing her from leaving
his house. Mendoza told his girlfriend that could not leave the house
unless she allowed him to carve his name into her chest with a razor blade.
After carving his name into her chest, he forced her inside his vehicle
and drove around to several parking lots throughout the city where he
preceded to choke, punch and head-butt her. His girlfriend managed to
escape and run to a nearby business to report the abuse. Mendoza is charged
with kidnapping, threat and domestic battery and is accused of using a
deadly weapon in the attack.
If convicted, Mendoza faces up to 11 years and eight months in prison and
is being held on a $100,000 bond.
