Singer Cee Lo Green Avoids Jail Time With Pleading "No Contest" To Drugging A Woman With Ecstasy

Posted By Attorney Robert M. Bernstein || 12-Sep-2014

Singer and former "The Voice" judge, Cee Lo Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Calloway, 38, has plead "no contest" to the felony count steaming from drugging a woman with ecstasy while dining at a restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles.

A police investigation occurred after a 33-year-old woman reported to authorities that Green put ecstasy in her drink while they dined together and later woke up to find herself naked in bed with Green. After two investigations by the Los Angeles Police Department, no rape charges were filed due to lack of evidence.

Green was sentenced to three years of formal probation, 360 hours of community service and ordered to complete 52 Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
