A young couple, Tylor Scott, 19, and Naomi Charles, 21, are charged with breaking into pop star Miley Cyrus’ residence and stealing her jewelry, designer purses, clothes and her 2014 Maserati Quattro Porte while Miley Cyrus was on an international leg of her music tour.
Scott, armed with a firearm, and Charles allegedly jumped the fence surrounding Cyrus’ property and went through the garage to complete the alleged heist. The 2014 Maserati was found abandoned and unharmed only 30 miles away from Cyrus’ residence.
Scott and Charles both face one count each of first degree residential burglary, grand theft of personal property, grand theft auto and unlawfully driving or taking a vehicle. Scott is additionally charged with first degree residential burglary and
grand theft of a firearm after stealing a 9mm handgun from a Woodland Hills residence that he carried on him when burglarizing Cyrus’ mansion.
If convicted on all charges, Scott faces up to 9 years in State Prison and Charles faces a maximum of 7 years and 8 months. Bail is set at $150,000 for Scott and $100,000 for Charles.
