Los Angeles Kings Defenseman, Slava Voynov, Charged With Domestic Violence

Slava Voynov, LA Kings hockey player, is charged with felony domestic violence causing Great Bodily Injury. A physical altercation occurred during an argument with his wife that caused her to sustain injuries to her eyebrow, cheek and neck that required stitches. A Judge found there is sufficient evidence for Voynov to stand trial at a preliminary hearing.

Voynov is charged with a felony count of corporal injury to a spouse with great bodily injury. Under California Law, this crime is punishable by up to 9 years in State Prison. The enhanced penalty is due to the allegation that he inflicted Great Bodily Injury.
