Slava Voynov, LA Kings hockey player, is charged with felony domestic violence
causing Great Bodily Injury. A physical altercation occurred during an
argument with his wife that caused her to sustain injuries to her eyebrow,
cheek and neck that required stitches. A Judge found there is sufficient
evidence for Voynov to stand trial at a preliminary hearing.
Voynov is charged with a felony count of corporal injury to a spouse with
great bodily injury. Under California Law, this crime is punishable by
up to 9 years in State Prison. The enhanced penalty is due to the allegation
that he inflicted Great Bodily Injury.
