Cee Lo Green Pleads Not Guilty To Drugging A Woman's Drink With Ecstasy

Posted By Los Angeles Criminal Defense Lawyer || 23-Oct-2013

Singer Cee Lo Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Calloway, 38, pled not guilty to a felony charge of furnishing Ecstasy to a woman at dinner at a restaurant. Prosecutors declined to charge Green with raping the woman while she was intoxicated due to insufficient evidence. Green entered his plea of not guilty and waived his rights to a speedy trial.

Sources state that Green allegedly acknowledged providing the woman the Ecstasy in a documented telephone call after the incident. Green agreed to surrender to the Los Angeles Police Department for booking within 7 days. Green could face up to four years in prison if convicted of giving the 33-year-old woman Ecstasy.
