Former 49er's Lineman Kwame Harris Guilty Of Domestic Violence

Posted By Los Angeles Criminal Defense Attorney || 11-Nov-2013

Kwame Harris, 31, former 49ers and Raiders lineman, has been convicted of several misdemeanors stemming from a dispute with his boyfriend, Dimitri Geier, which escalated into an assault at a Chinese restaurant. The assault stemmed from Harris being angry that Geier put soy sauce on his rice at Suh Hong restaurant. Harris then accused Geier of stealing his underwear and tried to pull down Geier's pants to prove it.

Harris pinned Geier against a plate-glass window and hit him several times in the face and the head, hard enough to cause facial fractures that required surgery and the insertion of a metal plate. Harris was found guilty of misdemeanor domestic violence, battery and assault for the attack. A jury in San Mateo County Superior Court acquitted him of felony domestic violence and felony assault counts.
