The son of a co-creator of the long-running children's show "Barney and Friends" has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after shooting his neighbor in the chest with a large-caliber handgun during an argument.

The Malibu resident was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, and was later released in lieu of $1-million bail, which was cause for concern among neighbors. The victim was shot in the chest and the round exited his shoulder. He was taken in critical condition to a nearby hospital and was expected to recover.

If you, or someone you know has been charged with attempted murder, assault or any other type of crime, it is important to contact a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who can fight the charges against you.
