San Bernardino Woman Arrested in Death of 2-Year-Old Who Ate Chili Powder

A San Bernardino woman was arrested for her alleged role in the death of a 2-year-old girl who died after eating chili powder. Authorities responded to a call of a child suffering from a seizure and took her to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of Child Abuse Resulting in Death and booked into the West Valley Detention Center where she was being held on $500,000 bail. Homicide detectives are investigating the death and an autopsy is pending.
