Peter Murphy, the vocalist for legendary group Bauhaus, was in jail this week after he was arrested for a Hit-and-Run while Driving Under the Influence in Glendale.
The musician, who was apparently set to launch "The Mr. Moonlight Tour Celebrating 35 Years of Bauhaus," allegedly rear-ended a vehicle in Glendale and fled the scene. A witness followed him and blocked his way until police arrived. Officers also discovered a small bag possibly containing methamphetamine inside a Los Angeles police patrol car, where he had been detained.
Murphy has pled not guilty to three misdemeanor counts of DUI, Hit-and-Run and Possession of Methamphetamine. He is expected to return to court on May 17 for a pretrial hearing.
