California Man Sentenced for Taping Molestations and Selling the Images

Posted By Attorney Robert M. Bernstein || 1-Apr-2013

In 2010, the FBI obtained a warrant to search the computer of a California man suspected of distributing child pornography. They discovered over 6,000 photos and 600 videos of child pornography, including images of the suspect and a 12-year-old victim.

The man distributed the images to pedophiles, sometimes in exchange for money. The man had also sexually abused two other boys, who were 9 and 10 when they were assaulted. In each case he groomed the boys and used small gifts and access to video games to entice them. He would then use intimidation to keep the boys silent.

In a plea deal with the prosecution, the man pled guilty to one count of Production of Child Pornography. He has been sentenced to 25 years is federal prison.

If you, or someone you know has been charged with Production of Child Pornography, Possession of Child Pornography, Receiving Child Pornography, Distribution of Child Pornography, or any other type of sex crime, it is essential to consult with a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who can aggressively fight the charges against you.
