A Los Angeles substance abuse counselor was driving with a blood-alcohol level more than double the legal limit of .08 % when she hit a pedestrian who became embedded in her windshield. She drove for more than two miles with the dying man on the hood of her car. Once the woman stopped driving, witnesses surrounded her vehicle and confiscated her keys until officers arrived on the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
