In July, a former Los Angeles Unified School District employee led police on a high-speed chase after authorities moved in to arrest him for child molestation based on the accusations of one of his middle-school students.
Authorities allege that the man had an ongoing sexual relationship with his student in 2005. He was originally charged with seven felony counts, including three counts of
lewd acts on a child who was 14 at the time, two counts of Oral Copulation on a person under the age of 16, one count of Sexual Penetration by a Foreign Object on a 14-year-old child and one count of Evading an Officer. As his preliminary hearing was about to start, he plead no contest to three of those felony counts.
He will return to court on December 17 for sentencing where he faces four years and four months in state prison. Further, he will have to register as a high-risk sex offender for life.
If you, or someone you know has been charged with Evading an Officer, child molestation, Oral Copulation on a Minor, Sexual Penetration by a Foreign Object, or any other type of sex crime, it is important to hire an experienced Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who will aggressively defend your case.
