Los Angeles Teen Arrested for Attempted Murder in Urban Noodle Restroom Stabbing

A man was chased for several blocks into a downtown Asian restaurant where he was cornered by two men in a bathroom stall and stabbed repeatedly in the throat and chest. After a restaurant staffer reported hearing a scuffle in the bathroom, the two suspects fled, and the victim was found and transported to a local hospital.

Police later apprehended one suspect with the help of a witness who saw the man run out of the eatery and noticed that he was wearing red earmuffs. The description of the suspect went out on a police radio call, and officers soon spotted and arrested a man in San Julian Park, as he was trying to discard a pair of red earmuffs. The suspect is a 17-year-old male who is believed to have gang ties.

The 17-year-old is being held at Eastlake Juvenile Hall on suspicion of attempted ,urder. If charged, the teen will also likely face sentencing enhancements for his gang association. Detectives are still searching for the other suspect.
