Javier Arrioja, former Los Angeles soccer coach for a boys club, has plead
not guilty to sex-related charges involving a 15-year-old male player.
Arrioja answered to four counts of molestation upon a child age 14 or
15 and one count of sending harmful matter.
He was arrested at his home in February when a player reported to police
that the defendant had inappropriately touched him. The boy alleges that
Arrioja sexually assaulted him four times in 2011.
If convicted of all counts, Arrioja faces a prison term of up to five years,
eight months and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest
of his life.
