Posted By Los Angeles Criminal Defense Lawyer || 5-Nov-2011

California Assemblywoman Mary Hayashi has been charged with Felony Grand Theft after Shoplifting at Neiman Marcus in San Francisco.

Allegedly, Hayashi had been shopping at the store, and walked out with a bag of items totaling almost $2,500.00. Her lawyer claims that she was planning on paying for the items, but became distracted and left the store before doing so. Security Guards detained her immediately.

Hayashi has plead not guilty to one charge of Felony Grand Theft. If convicted of this charge, she faces a maximum of three years in state prison.
