Former School Teacher Sentenced for Sex Crimes with a Student

Mark Stephen Hubbard was a teacher at Hillcrest Christian School for eight years and served as a health teacher, athletic director and assistant coach for the boys' basketball and baseball teams.  Late last year he was arrested for having a sexual relationship with an underage student after a parent had informed authorities.

Hubbard pled no contest to one count each of sexual intercourse with a minor and sodomy of a person under 18 and eight counts of oral copulation of a person under 18.  He has been sentenced to nine years in state prison.
