Seventeen-year-old Michael Wilson was recently sentenced to one year in prison after stabbing a classmate in the stomach with a 12-inch carving knife and injuring two others. The stabbing occurred when the classmate and three of his friends drove to Wilson's house to confront him after arguing via Facebook, text messages and e-mails.
Wilson was charged as an adult and pleaded guilty to one felony count of aggravated assault with a knife and a sentencing enhancement for causing great bodily injury. He was sentenced to a year in jail and three years of formal probation.
