Fake California Liposuction Doctor Facing Charges of Assault, Sexual Battery, Practicing Without a License

Carlos Guzmangarza was initially arrested for posing as a physician assistant and performing cosmetic surgery on a woman. While operating, he smoked a cigar and had the conscious patient hold an IV bag. At one point, some of the fat Guzmangarza was suctioning out fell on the floor, and he picked it up with his hands. Days later, the patient's abdomen became infected. When she saw a real doctor, she learned Guzmangarza was not licensed and had to have corrective surgery.

Another woman told police she had seen Guzmangarza's picture on a news report and realized that he was the man who had made sexual remarks to her and inappropriately touched her during three consultations. He had prescribed a gel for her skin that later proved to be a severe skin irritant.

Guzmangarza faces multiple charges of Practicing Medicine Without a License, Assault with force most likely to cause great bodily harm, Battery causing great bodily harm, False Impersonation, Identity Theft, Sexual Battery and Grand Theft. If convicted of all charges, he will likely be facing serious jail time and heavy fines.
