Boss who Taped Female Worker in Restroom now Convicted and a Registered Sex Offender
A California insurance agency owner has been sentenced to 10 days in jail and ordered to register as a sex offender for secretly videotaping a female employee while she used the office restroom.
A friend of the defendant made a complaint to police, saying he saw disturbing images on the business owner's computer. When police conducted a search, they found a video that shows a female employee using the restroom. Officers also found a fake plant on top of the toilet with a secret compartment for a video camera.
The defendant was convicted of a misdemeanor charge in violation of Penal Code ยง 647, Voyeurism. In addition to the jail sentence, the defendant must complete 20 days in the adult-offender work program and register as a sex offender. Should he violate the terms of his probation, he will be sentenced to prison.
If you, or someone you know has been charged with Voyeurism, Exploitation or any
Sex Crime, you could be facing Prison and Lifetime Sex Offender Registration.
