Los Angeles Adult Day-Care Employee Pleads No Contest to Sexual Assaults
A former employee of an adult day-care center in El Monte recently pled no contest to sexually assaulting three severely mentally disabled women.
Juan Fernando Flores, who was employed as a cook and driver at the facility, was arrested last May and subsequently confessed to assaulting the three women. Flores was facing up to 27 years if convicted of all charges, which included multiple sexual assaults that left the women with a sexually transmitted disease.
His plea of no contest came in exchange for an agreement with prosecutors that he be sentenced to no more than eight years in prison and register as a sex offender upon release.
