Orange County Man Kidnaps Pregnant Bank Employee, Forces Her to Rob Her Own Bank

An Anaheim man who forced a pregnant bank employee to steal cash from her own bank has been convicted of two counts of aggravated Kidnapping and three counts of Robbery.

Charles Clements kidnapped an eight-month pregnant woman at her home and told her that if she didn't do as she was told, ruthless members of a motorcycle club would kill her, her husband and other bank employees.

Out of fear, the woman went with Clements to the bank where she worked. She asked a co-worker to come outside to see her new car so that Clements could take her hostage as well. She then walked into the bank vault, told the manager there was a gunman outside holding the co-worker hostage, and scooped up nearly $168,000 in cash. The victim handed the duffel bag full of cash to Clements, who drove a short distance and left the two bank employees while he ran off in a disguise.

Charles Clements now faces two potential life terms in prison plus 18 years at his sentencing scheduled for December 20th.
