UCLA Basketball Player Charged With Grand Theft

A UCLA basketball player has been charged with Grand Theft after police were able to track down a stolen MacBook Pro in his possession, using the laptop's tracking device. The point guard has been suspended from the team and has been barred from all activities, pending his criminal case.

The laptop is valued at $1,541.00, which is why the player is charged with Grand Theft. Under California law, grand theft is charged for stolen property valued over $950 dollars and can result in imprisonment in a county jail of up to a year.

If you, or someone you know has been charged with Grand Theft or any other type of Theft Crime, contact a Los Angeles Criminal Defense Attorney, for a free consultation today.
